About Vulcanite
Vulcanite Armor is an industrial rock wool blanket for pipes, vessels and ducts, supplied in South Africa by Vulcanite, Centurion. Made from basalt and dolomite and stitched to galvanised or stainless wire mesh, it comes in three density grades: Blanket 80 rated to 650°C, Blanket 100 to 700°C and Blanket 120 to 750°C hot-surface, tested per ASTM C411 and C447. Flame Spread Index 0, compliant with ASTM C592 Type I and III. Full technical parameters are published on the datasheet, and prices are published per roll.
One brand, one product line, one seller
Vulcanite is the brand customers ask for. Vulcanite Armor is the rock wool blanket line they buy. Ammacom Tech (Pty) Ltd is the company that sells it and invoices.
The three grades are Vulcanite Armor Blanket 80, Blanket 100 and Blanket 120. The grade number is the density of the blanket in kg/m³, and each grade carries its own hot-surface rating: 650°C, 700°C and 750°C. The full range is rated up to 750°C.
Quotes, invoices and card payments are issued in the name of Ammacom Tech (Pty) Ltd, the legal entity, with Vulcanite Armor rolls as the line items. Vulcanite is never the registered company name, and Ammacom Tech (Pty) Ltd is never a product name.
